Duynie is sourcing for a Supply Chain Team Lead for our Valencia location. In this role, you will lead a team of two Supply Chain Planners and a Supply Chain Administrator, while also actively contributing to day‑to‑day operational tasks yourself. This is a hands‑on position rather than a purely managerial role in which you will combine planning expertise with leadership and direct customer interaction.
The Supply Chain team is responsible for the coordination and execution of our supply chain activities for the Spanish and Portuguese markets. Together with your team you will manage a growing fleet of 12 trucks, truck from 3PL partners (charters) and ensure the smooth transport of approximately 300,000 tonnes of co-product per year, around 200–250 truckloads each week. These co products will be sold as animal feed for farmers in Spain and Portugal.
As a Supply Chain Team Lead you will work side by side with your team, guiding daily operations, solving challenges, and ensuring that supply and demand are aligned in the most efficient way. In addition to leading and planning, you will also be in direct contact with our customers to ensure supply meets demand. As a supply-driven company, availability and customer needs do not always align perfectly. This means that during periods of high supply you will actively increase sales to customers, while in times of limited supply you will manage allocations carefully to ensure fair distribution to our customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate transport and sales planning for co-products from the food and beverage industry.
- Actively participate in daily operations, ensuring smooth execution of planning and logistics.
- Supervise booking and scheduling of sales orders in consultation with transport partners.
- Maintain close contact with field colleagues and customers (phone/WhatsApp) to secure orders.
- Continuously develop your team.
- Monitor silo sensors at customer sites and adjust planning accordingly.
- Ensure accurate recording and follow-up of orders and agreements in CRM systems.
- Analyze supply and demand forecasts to create medium-term planning.
- Drive process improvements and implement smart technologies to optimize planning efficiency.
Was nimmst du mit?
- Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics and Transport (Grado en Logística y Transporte).
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in supply chain, logistics, or the agricultural sector.
- Affinity with agriculture and food production.
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics is big plus.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Independent, creative, stress-resistant, and flexible.
- Hands-on leadership style with attention to detail.
- Fluency in Spanish and English is mandatory, Portuguese and Italian are a plus.
- No 9-5 mentality
- Willing to occasionally work weekend and evening shifts.
- Willing to travel to our other office in Valdemorillo (Madrid).
